Ross Woodhall has over 30 years of experience as a specialist ski photographer, working extensively across the winter sports and outdoor industry. Over three decades, he has built a deep understanding of mountain environments, winter conditions and the demands of producing strong imagery in challenging locations. He also shoots commercial and interiors commissions across the UK and Europe, working with brands, agencies and editorial clients to create authentic, considered imagery. His extensive production experience, location knowledge and creative approach make him a trusted choice for demanding commercial shoots, from fast moving outdoor campaigns to carefully considered brand and interiors work.

With over 30 years of experience working in the mountains, Location Alps brings unrivalled local knowledge and production expertise to photo and film shoots in the mountains. We specialise in finding exceptional locations from high altitude peaks, glaciers and dramatic landscapes to authentic villages, luxury chalets and distinctive interiors with an extensive network of trusted local contacts to help make them accessible.

Working with brands, agencies, photographers, film crews and production teams, we provide location scouting, permits, logistics and on the ground production support, alongside access to trusted ski talent, mountain guides and specialist crews. From initial creative brief and scouting through to shoot day, we understand the unique challenges of working in the Alps and make complex productions feel straightforward, safe and creatively rewarding.

An emerging talent in outdoor photography, Torin Woodhall specialises in mountain, ski and winter sports, with a growing portfolio of commercial work for outdoor brands and agencies. Working across the UK, Europe and the Alps, he brings an authentic understanding of the environments he shoots in, combining a fresh creative perspective with a natural connection to the outdoors. Equally comfortable working in challenging mountain environments or on considered commercial productions, Torin creates dynamic, engaging imagery that captures both the energy of the action and the character of the places in which it takes place.

Film West specialises in location scouting and production locations across the UK, working with brands, agencies, photographers and production teams to find places that elevate a creative brief. From dramatic landscapes, mountains and coastlines to distinctive interiors, rural properties and unexpected locations, we draw on extensive local knowledge and production experience over 30 years to uncover the right setting for every shoot. From initial research and recce through to access, logistics and on th ground support. Film West helps make location led productions straightforward, efficient and creatively rewarding

Our Birmingham studio is a premier green screen and creative production facility, providing a versatile, fully equipped space for professional photography, film, video and commercial content production. At its heart is a large, professionally designed green screen space, alongside a pre lit white infinity cove, dark space and black wall, giving production teams the flexibility to create everything from controlled studio campaigns to complex visual effects and branded content.

With professional lighting, DMX controlled facilities and experienced in house crew available, our studio provides a streamlined production solution for brands, agencies, photographers, filmmakers and creative teams. Centrally located in Birmingham, we combine a flexible production environment with the practical expertise needed to deliver ambitious creative briefs efficiently from initial setup and technical preparation through to shoot day.

Our fine art collection brings together over 30 years of Ross Woodhall’s photography, capturing the mountains, landscapes, light and atmosphere of the Alps and beyond. From dramatic high altitude peaks, glaciers and snowfields to forests, coastlines and fleeting moments of light, each image is created with a strong sense of place, scale and atmosphere.

Available as limited edition fine art photographic prints and bespoke large format works, the collection is designed for private collectors, luxury homes, mountain properties, hotels and commercial interiors.
